After purchasing your eSIM data plan, it'll appear on My page. You can use an activation link and clear instructions. This page includes all your past purchases as well. You can choose when to request your eSIM's activation, putting you in control of when your data allowance begins.

A Japanese friend told me that eSIMs are cheaper online than buying a SIM card at Kansai Airport, so I skipped the SIM card at the airport and bought a Travel Mobile eSIM. The price was cheap and the setup was quick. It is very convenient to be able to check data usage. It was no problem in Tokyo, Wakayama and Osaka. During my 15-day stay in Japan, I used 47 GB of data communication. The WIFI at the hotel where I stayed was slow, so I used my iPhone as a hotspot for my laptop. It was nice to be able to use tethering.

The eSIM was easy to set up. I purchased a 50GB eSIM, but since the Wi-Fi at the Airbnb in Hokkaido was slow, I used the eSIM as a hotspot. However, I ran out of data and had to purchase an additional eSIM. It would be great if there were a larger data plan available or an option to add extra data.
