We were 2, stayed for two weeks, Osaka,Wakaya, Kyoto and bit of Tokyo. Worked about everywhere. Would use again. I bought two eSIMs 16 days plan. Used on iPhone 13 and iPhone 15. The Japanese food I had in Osaka was the best I've ever had.

The eSIM was easy to set up. I purchased a 50GB eSIM, but since the Wi-Fi at the Airbnb in Hokkaido was slow, I used the eSIM as a hotspot. However, I ran out of data and had to purchase an additional eSIM. It would be great if there were a larger data plan available or an option to add extra data.
